Qualmark is New Zealand’s national tourism ratings agency, and ever since we took over Pen-y-bryn Lodge in 2010 we have consistently rated at the very top of their categories. The agency updates its criteria regularly in order to keep up with trends in international travel, so those businesses that wish to remain at the top of the heap have to continuously evolve with these changes. We recently underwent our first assessment under the newest criteria and are very proud to announce that we were awarded the very top rating that they can bestow, Qualmark Gold. The new criteria rate not just the comfort of the offerings, but also the sustainability of the business in terms of environment, society and culture.
