Craft Beer
Oamaru went dry in 1905, and even though the area permitted the sale of alcohol again starting in the 1960s, it wasn’t’ until 2014 that a brewery was established in the area, and it was soon followed by another shortly after. Scott’s Brewing Company and Craftwork now make some of New Zealand’s best craft beers–the latter focusing almost exclusively on Belgian-style beers. Enjoy a tasting of these craft beers on-site at their tap rooms, with a small platter to go with.
