Second Edition of our Book now Available!

In 2017 we published the first edition of our in-house book, designed to give our guests and visitors to Oamaru and the Waitaki a cocktail-table-worthy memento of their time in our area. The book proved very popular, not just among our own guests but also with other visitors and even among locals who bought copies for themselves and as gifts for friends and family.
With so many changes around Oamaru and in Pen-y-bryn since 2017, we decided to completely revise and reformat the book for its second edition. The text is all-new, as are many of the photographs throughout the book, which, like before, covers the history, geography and sights of the multifaceted Waitaki District, along with the story of Pen-y-bryn Lodge and a good number of recipes from our kitchen (most of which are also new). The book is a wonderful gift for anyone with an interest in Oamaru, and will be available at the lodge as well as from a select number of vendors around Oamaru.
